Nothing feels as good as natural fibres in a shirt. This 100% cotton summer weight shirting has a nice smooth hand. This is a yarn dyed uneven small check that almost reads as a stripe. It is not printed. Checks are very much on trend for button down shirts. Although the check is small, it wil require matching for pockets. Be sure to cut the pattern pieces exactly on grain so everything lines up perfectly. Consider mixing with plaids (e.g. use as a detail on inside collar band, inside placket, inside cuff, underside of collar).
