Q. Do I have to have a PayPal account to purchase goods from your website?
A. You do not have to have a PayPal account. You can complete your transaction with PayPal as a guest. That means you can use your credit card to make payment without creating a PayPal account. Visit www.paypal.com for information on their services. Now you can pay with your credit card through Stripe, a service provided through Big Commerce.
Q. Do I have to order fabrics in one metre lengths, or can I order partial metres?
A. Website technology through our service provider is such that it cannot handle partial lengths. However, if you wish to order partial amounts, you can do so one of the following ways:
(a) complete the order rounding up the amount you require to the next level; e.g. if you need 1.5 metres, enter 2 metres as the amount and THEN in the comments field specify that you only want 1.5 metres and the fabric name. The order will be edited to only charge for the actual amount purchased.
(b) send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with everything you want to include in the order and your mailing address. We will send you back an email with the total amount owing. If you have a PayPal account we can send you an invoice for payment. If you wish to do the transaction by telephone, we take VISA or Mastercard. Provide a telephone number and several times when we can call to complete the transaction.
Q. What is the smallest cut you will make?
A. The smallest cut we will make of any fabric is .25 metres.
Q. I get an error message when I try to check out that says one or more items cannot be shipped to my location.
This error message can be caused by any number of factors, but the most common one is that there is a mistake in the address typed. Canada Post provides real time quotes based on the address. For example if the postal code doesn't match the address provided, this error message comes up. If the error message persists, please send an email to email@example.com with your telephone number and a time to call, and we will attempt to resolve the matter by phone.
Q. The shipping estimate seems high for one or two patterns.
Canada Post does not provide estimates for items sent by regular mail, so our only option is an estimate based on Expedited Parcel. If the order is for one or two patterns, we will send them by regular mail and you will only be charged for the actual postage. If you order several patterns and they don't fit into a regulation envelope, they will be send by Expedited Parcel. However, you are only ever charged the actual shipping amount.
