This lovely cloth is hand woven on vintage looms in the villages of Burma. You will find slight irregularities in the weave. We like to think of these not as flaws but rather as a testament to it's authenticity. Colour batches may vary slightly and there will be shrinkage with the first washing. Burmese Silk Blend is a lightweight fabric suitable for tops, shirts and blouses.

Before using, pre-wash in cold water on gentle. You may find that the fabrics that are shot will crock and the colours will blend. The washed fabric has a slightly pebbly texture. After pre-washing hang to dry or dry on low in the dryer. To return the fabric to an even width, press with a steam iron on silk setting using a protective cover.

Each mini bolt is between 3.5 and 4 yards or 3.2 and 3.6 metres in length.
