Cecelia Podolak, owner of Material Things
Cecelia Podolak, whose specialties include jackets and pressing, has
been an inspiration to others at seminars and workshops both in Canada
and the United States. She has been a contributor to Threads and Sew
News magazines and is the author of Easy Guide to Sewing Jackets
published by Taunton Press in the fall of 1995. Cecelia has a Master's
Degree in Clothing, Textiles, and Merchandising, and lectures part-time
at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, on Comparative
Clothing Construction and Apparel Design.
Cecelia developed The Classics pattern line
in response to popular demand for sewing patterns that fit
real people. Her patterns combine the best of
ready-to-wear construction techniques and the fashion sewing
world. These patterns are professionally drafted and
graded to bring the home sewist designer patterns with
timeless style.
Instructions are detailed with lots of
information on how to make fitting adjustments.
Cecelia is also happy to answer any of your sewing questions
about her patterns to help you along the way.
