Bare Knits® Cotton / Poly InterlockThis high end, designer quality, tightly knitted (28 stitches on each side per inch; more than many other knits on the market) interlock is created from 51% cotton combined with 49% polyester for better recovery and colour retention. This means the fabric holds its shape and performs well wash after wash. Bare Knits® interlock weights in at about 10 ounces per linear yard. By using only reactive dyes colourfastness is assured under regular washing or dry cleaning. Not only is this medium weight interlock the crème de la crème of knitted fabrics, it works with many of our other knits, wovens, and printed fashion fabrics. Use it for garments that call for a moderate amount of stretch such as T-shirts, tank tops, lounge pants and sleepwear. Fabric is 30" tubular; equivalent to 60" or 150 cm wide. Pre-wash the fabric alone in warm water on a knit or gentle cycle. Eucalan Woolwash is recommended for Bare Knits® and all fine washables. Dry on low heat. You can expect shrinkage will be even less at 4% to 6%. The fabric is not compacted; so there will be no permanent creases at the folds. After the garment is made you can hang to dry and then toss in the dryer for a few minutes to remove any wrinkles. Bare Knits hold their colour well; to prevent any colour bleed, remove them immediately from the washer and dry on low heat or hang to dry.
