AT LONG LAST!
Flat head pins that
don't melt! I love flat head pins. I use them
all the time for pinning patterns to fabric because they are
easy to grasp and easy to see; and they don't tear up the
tissue. And I can cut with my ruler and rotary cutter when
I use flat head pins. But get this! They don't melt.
So when I'm pinning and pressing--no more worries. These
are a MUST HAVE and so they are here with my most favourite
notions. The cute button shaped heads come
in a mixture of white and pastels of yellow, green, mauve and
blue.

This
multi-purpose tool is used to turn points on collars and
facings. It is also used for pressing seams and the rounded end
can be used as a Hera style marker by making a crease that can
be easily pressed out later. It can be used with the iron
because it won't melt. |
I wouldn't want to be without this small
sewing and knitting gauge (approx. 6 inches long, metal with a
movable plastic marking guide). In fact I have several;
one at my sewing machine, one at my pressing table, another by
the serger and another in my office desk. The small size
makes the gauge convenient to cart along on shopping trips to
measure loose buttons and trims. The gauge is PERFECT for
measuring hems, facings and seams. |
The tailor's triangle chalk has been
around since forever and continues to be a sewer's staple.
In my mind it is convenient and easy to use. Other loose
chalk markers are fine but require refilling and I've spilled
more than my share of powdered chalk. This Clover Triangle
Tailor Chalk is a solid block of chalk. The triangular shape
makes it easy to hold and mark with. Pressing too hard can make
the marks difficult to remove. The chalk is available in White
or Blue only. |
This 10-1/2" long metal Loop Turner makes
turning bias tubing a breeze! Turn spaghetti straps, button
loops, frog closures, string belts, and much more! Hooked end
grabs and hangs on to fabric as you pull. I also like to use it
to pull in the thread ends of serged edges so that they don't
unravel. I find I reach for this more often than my pricey
Fast-turn tube turning set. |
