Distinctive Sewing
Supplies believes that participation in the fashion sewing
industry is essential to keeping it alive, thriving, interesting
and accessible to everyone. For that reason, we endeavour
to support local trade shows that give home fashion sewists like
you the opportunity to see first hand all the interesting
fabrics, patterns and sewing supplies on the market. We
also host lectures, trunk shows and demos to make attendance at
these events a learning, fun and worthwhile experience for trade
show attendees.

Knitter's Jamboree

This is
the third annual Knitters Jamboree and it gets better every
year. This is the only show that caterers to both machine
knitters and hand knitters alike. Admission is $8.00
per ticket (before April 15) and $10.00 at the door. There
are door prizes, free demonstrations, a fashion show and a snack
bar. Yarn Plus will have their luscious ready-to-dye rayon
and tencel chenille yarns. Another favourite, Grand River
Yarns brings a great selection of hand dyed yarns; mohair, baby
alpaca, and merinos. Peter of Sew 'n Knit 'n Serge always
has great bargains on hand and machine knitting yarns. And
there's a lot more. A nice selection of fabrics and
patterns will be available from Distinctive Sewing Supplies. For full
