A fabric with this diversity of colour is probably best sewn with a neutral grey thread such as Mettler Metrosene 100% Polyester No. 252.  It sells for $1.90 each or two for $3.50.

Design Considerations:

The hand dyeing process used in this fabric creates a flattering lengthening effect.
