This is an original Diane Ericson design based upon her Bambu Stencil.  A rich textured background of claret and purple striations are overlaid with batiked bambu sticks that appear as a light purple. Galaxy Secret Weapon is a dyed to match coordinate.

Looking for sewing thread to match?

A fabric with this diversity of colour is probably best sew with a neutral grey thread such as Mettler Metrosene 100% Polyester No. 252.  It sells for $1.90 each or two for $3.50.

Design Considerations:

The hand dyeing process used in this fabric creates a flattering lengthening effect.  Although not immediately apparent, this is a one-way design requiring a "with nap" layout.

The elegant and stylish garment pictured to the left is Spice 'n Style from The Bali Collection.  The jacket is made up in Galaxy Bambu, while the skirt and jacket front panel are created with Galaxy Secret Weapon.
