Burgundy Brushstroke

This is an original Lois Ericson design based upon her "Notes to Myself" stamp and a new brushstroke design that she recently created for machine embroidery.  A rich background of deep Burgundy is textured with large lighter plum brushstrokes.  This is overlaid with a batik stamp of script and brushstrokes that appears as pink.  Burgundy Script is a dyed to match coordinate.

Design Considerations:

The hand dyeing process used in this fabric creates lots of movement and interest.  It would wonderful in a gored skirt pattern such as The Travel Skirt by Kathryn Brenne.

The Burgundy Brushstroke fabric is a little pricier than other batik rayons due to the extra work involved at the batik factory in creating the brushstroke pattern.
