This subtle print is reminiscent of primitive petroglyphs that date from prehistoric times.  The wild horses, depicted galloping across the beautifully mottled blue fabric, gives one a  feeling of energy and freedom.  The largest horse is 6.5 centimeters (2½ inches) wide.

Design Considerations:

5 20 Dust Blue Wild Horses is a directional print that should be treated as a “with nap” fabric for yardage and pattern layout.  Dust Blue Effect is dyed to match this fabric.

The Bali Collection sewing patterns from The Batik Butik are ideal for their batik rayon fabric.  These patterns are beginner friendly and flattering on most figures.

The Sewing Workshop Collection designer patterns often call for drapey fabrics making batik rayon an excellent choice.  5 81 The Elle Shirt and Pant would work particularly well.  You have the choice of making the shirt in the Dust Blue Wild Horses print and the pants in the co-coordinating 5 113 Blue Dust Effect.
